Your Anaesthesia Safety Guide

  • Kelly Hallett

What Really Happens When You are Asleep?

A reassuring guide to understanding anaesthesia for your hysterectomy.

You are Not Alone in This Fear

First, let's acknowledge something important: your fear about anaesthesia is completely

normal and shared by millions of people. The fear of "not waking up" is one of the most

common pre-surgery anxieties, and it makes perfect sense that you'd feel this way. It often

comes up in my 1-1 support sessions.

We have a guide here that you can download that will hopefully help to reassure you.

I hope that it helps you.

If you need expert support to help you through your hysterectomy journey, and have all of the right support and information exactly when you need it then have a look at our
Hysterectomy Support Hub. It has everything you will need.
